Arson is the lighting of a fire with to intention to damage or destroy property or to kill.
Because the evidence of Arson is hard to pinpoint- the intense heat of the fire destroys most “hard” evidence- the Police investigators often have no direct proof. Instead they build their case on other evidence, like the accused’s movements and activities before the fire and possible motives for the fire.
